Laundry Day

The Mast family has been long time residents of Valle Crucis in the North Carolina Mountains. Their general merchandise store has been essential to residents for more than 100 years and is on the Register of Historic Places.This painting uses the old Mast homestead complex to depict “laundry day” as it must have been over a hundred years ago.
