My medium is watercolors. My inspiration is all around me.

Having been raised on a tobacco farm in Southeastern North Carolina, I am proud to claim true Carolina farm country heritage. As a child, I enjoyed drawing the things around me…the farm life, the barns, the classic fishing boats and the colorful people who worked  them. My passion for sketching eventually led to a career in advertising. After graduating from Ringling School of Art, I did further studies at Roosevelt University and the American Academy of Art. Having now retired after over 40 years in the ad industry, I returned to my coastal roots and to the pursuit of art. I enjoy traveling the back roads, meeting people, and painting the beautiful landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes and interesting slice of life situations I find.
